Description: This part goes by many names around the world, here are just a few: Fuel Petcock, Gas Valve, Fuel Tap, Petrol Valve. Petrol Tap, Fuel Switch
Features: A simple gravity fed fuel petcock with just an “On” and “Off” position. No reserve position. Single, mesh type in-tank filter, possibly nylon material. Includes the special o-ring that sits between the tank and petcock. The fuel line output is vertical and down. You’ll find this similar petcock body type used in all sorts of Yamahas and Kawasakis with various fuel line output direction and sizes. This assembly is rebuildable with a kit from K&S Technologies 55-4001 or from K&L Supply 18-2727 . With modern fuel, you may find youself rebuilding fuel petcocks more frequently.

Dimensions: 35mm bolt hole center to center. Tank Side Base is 56.6mm x 20.6mm Oval.

Original Manufacturer: As the detailed photo below shows, there is the iconic “M” marking on the petcock assembly. If you’ve owned motorcycles, you’re probably seen this stamp or something similar on your carburetor body. This marking indicates this is made by MIKUNI Corporation of Japan. Mikuni is one of the major fuel related parts manufacturers and suppliers to the big four (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha).
